Fun Things to do In St.Petersburg During the Summer: One Day Itinerary For Real Slacker

St. Petersburg isn’t always freezing like lots of people might imagine whenever they hear the word “Russia” mentioned. They do have sunny warm days that lure everyone into spending more time outdoors instead of hiding under their cozy blankets. I have visited this town more than 4 times, all of them on gloomy windy chilly March, September, October, or December days. So, the decision I made after that was just, "Okay, that will be my last. I won’t go to St. Petersburg anymore and I really don’t understand why people keep telling me that it is beautiful.” But, it seems I always forget the things I said…

5 Russian Movies to Watch (Comedy) – A good way for improving your language (only for intermediate)

Many have said that to fully immerse yourself in a language, you need to try to comprehend their way of thinking. Feeling Under the Weather in Russia

Spring is always inspiring and invigorating. During the springtime our body starts to react differently. It's as if the energy that was previously “boiled away” during the winter suddenly rose to its peak. The brighter the sun shines, the happier we feel. The greener the grass, the more itchy feet we have. It’s just too hard to stay at home working like a dog when it is too sunny to be true outside, isn’t it? What we want to do is just sit in the sun, lying on the grass and sipping some coke as company. We don’t even care that the wind might still be as…

Strolling Around St. Petersburg – Day 2, Time for museums!

Cities in Russia are compact. This means you don’t need a month or a year to discover the most interesting places on your list. But still, as everybody’s taste is different, especially regarding their favorite places, it is generally a good idea to spend more time in one city. After going around by the main road and paying a flying visit to some of the most visited tourist attractions in St. Petersburg, we saved one day for spending time in museums. Note this, one day! Museum aficionados may laugh at me because, really, they know that one day is nothing considering how big the Hermitage Museum is,…
